Do it in one go if you can. Phasing is a reasonable answer to cash flow, but it costs more in total and risks a visible difference between phases.

Short answer
In short: a single programme is usually cheaper per window, less disruptive overall and guarantees a consistent result. Phasing makes sense when cash flow requires it, when other building work is not ready, or when one elevation is genuinely urgent and the rest is not.

If you do phase, phase well
- 01Survey and specify the whole house at the outset, even if you only order part of it.
- 02Fix the system, colour reference, glass make-up and hardware in writing.
- 03Phase by elevation rather than by room, so any difference falls at a natural break.
- 04Start with the elevation that is most exposed or most seen.
- 05Keep the phases as close together as the budget allows.

A Whole House, Front to Garden
Two elevations with opposite jobs. The front had to sit politely in an established street of tile-and-render houses; the back had to open a new extension almost entirely to the garden — while both read as one house, in one glazing language.
A single system family in two finishes: Georgian-bar steel-look casements in agate grey to the frontage, and a wide-span door and screen run in anthracite to the garden. Sightlines, bar widths and head heights were set out across the whole house as one drawing set, and the lantern was specified to match the extension frames so the roof glass belongs to the same scheme.
