We work from Appleby-in-Westmorland, in the Eden Valley, which places us within a straightforward drive of the Lake District, the Cumbrian coast, the Yorkshire Dales and the North East. Most weeks that means a survey in Penrith or Kendal, an installation towards Keswick or Windermere, and drawings arriving from an architect somewhere further afield.
Projects are considered on location, size, specification and suitability rather than a line drawn on a map. Replacement windows for a farmhouse, timber-look windows across a period elevation, slim aluminium windows and aluminium doors for a renovation, sliding doors or bifold doors opening an extension to the garden, French doors and entrance doors to finish the house properly — the right answer depends as much on the building and its exposure as on the postcode.
